How to make a Tom Collins
Use large bar-glass.
Take 5 or 6 dashes of simple syrup.
Juice of a small lemon.
1 large wine-glass of gin.
2 or 3 lumps of ice.
Shake up well and strain into a large bar-glass. Fill up the glass with plain soda water and drink while it is lively.
About us and how Tom Collins evolved
Beginning with a simple idea we went searching for the perfect caravan. One dark and stormy night we came across an ad on eBay and we knew that this was the one.
We ditched breakfast plans with friends, went to inspect the little guy and bought him on the spot (and then realised we had to figure out how to tow him home!).
We got straight to work and with lots of help from our awesome family and friends he was completely transformed and restored into a gorgeous mobile bar featuring stunning timber bar tops, huge ice sinks, beautiful custom bi-folds, and rustic light fixtures.
As for a name, well that was easy. Named after a hoax that was doing the rounds of New York in 1874, the Tom Collins has immortalised itself into one of the most iconic gin cocktails around. It's a delicious drink and a favourite here at Tom Collins HQ. We hope Tom Collins Caravan Bar will become the most iconic mobile bar around!
